Nit 100% sure if i will be correct, but your battery might be in boot rather than the front, at least b8.5 is in boot so as long as you can get into the book you will get access to your dead battery

Yeah, he won't be able to get into the boot from the outside with a dead battery unfortunately.

@OP - Have you tried flooding the door lock with WD40 to see if it will work free with your hard key? Worth a try. Otherwise, it looks like you'll need to use the scrotes way in!

Yes will keep searching for the easiest option, need to get into the bonnet initially to get power to enable the fob to work and open the boot too..but could get into boot to the battery through the back seat route, thanks for the replies though much appreciated.

Could you jack it up, find some wiring and stick a battery charger on to get enough juice to unlock it?

Im pretty sure theirs a emergency boot release behind the rear seats.... have a look mate. theres a way.
I think if you drop the rear seats theirs a lever ether on the boot inside the car. or its by the back seats.

He can't get in to get there unfortunately. The emergency boot release is behind a tiny hole in the boot lid, pop a plastic bung off then stick something in and wiggle around until you find the latch. Don't ask why I know this.

corr mate not fun!

What about charging it from the terminals in the engine bay? I think its under the trim by the window wipers?
I thought that was the proper place to charge the battery from?

Gotta open the bonnet to do that, which needs the door opening to do quite the pickle.

Jack the left or right side of the car up and remove the underside tray and there will be a big red flat cable that is comes from the battery to the engine. Apply a +ve supply to it and a -ve to the body and you should have power.

Lock is seized, I think the jack up and hot wire is the only option.

I think early B8's may have had a keyhole on the passenger side, but none of my B8.5's or my B9 have.

They do not, passenger keyhole is in the door shut, and is only for locking not unlocking.
