Cold caliper drag

Hey folks, my front left caliper seems to drag when cold. On the way to work in the morning I can feel it pull a little, but when I leave work in the evening as things are warmer, the caliper seems fine. I pulled everything apart and the piston compressed pretty readily so I don't know that it's frozen, any other culprits? I was considering getting one of the Tyrol brake bushing stiffeners in case it is the floating caliper flexing in but I'm not sure why it would be better when warm. Thanks for any help or advice.

Hey there, it is quattro. As I've torn the wheel and brakes apart a few times, I found a small tear in my CV boot and heard a few clicks over there so it might be a front left rebuild time. New CV joint, new caliper if it's being finicky.. was hoping it was something less involved than a dead caliper but such as it may be.

You can try regreasing the caliper pins that slides back and forth with some new brake caliper grease. Worked for me when I had a sticking caliper in a VAG car I owned previously.
