Yes - I've tried it. I've been in it once (got to try everything once - right?). I have an S5 and I don't need it to drive like a Fiat Punto.... Enough said.

 

Hey have it on our tdi and it works by making the car mushy, slower and less responsive but I guess more economical.

I only use it when I have misjudged how much fuel I have left vs how far the next petrol station is away!

 

I have tried it and notice no difference from efficiency comfort or auto as the revs stay the same.

Dynamic however instant difference and revs go up slightly.

 

The only thing I've really noticed in efficiency mode is it takes an age to reach set speed when you resume cruise control. I saw no perceivable difference in mpg on several trials of my usual work route, so decided it was naff and have never used it again!

yeah when i first got it, i drove in efficiency mode for a while, it felt like my a5 2.0 diesel and pretty normal now only if I have screwed up on gauging my fuel like someone said above however now it feels unresponsive and slow. I mostly drive in comfort with gears showing up as d1 etc..

 

Yeh I agree efficiency is very sow between gears that's what I have noticed but no improvement on economy
