Yes - I've tried it. I've been in it once (got to try everything once - right?). I have an S5 and I don't need it to drive like a Fiat Punto.... Enough said.
The only thing I've really noticed in efficiency mode is it takes an age to reach set speed when you resume cruise control. I saw no perceivable difference in mpg on several trials of my usual work route, so decided it was naff and have never used it again!
yeah when i first got it, i drove in efficiency mode for a while, it felt like my a5 2.0 diesel and pretty normal now only if I have screwed up on gauging my fuel like someone said above however now it feels unresponsive and slow. I mostly drive in comfort with gears showing up as d1 etc..
