Cruise Control Retrofit?

Has anyone got a guide on retrofitting the cruise control stalk to there cars?
Its something I have wanted for a while now. I know there around 50 quid to pick up.

Has anyone done this install themselves and can give me a simple breakdown?

Guide here for taking the storks off so you know what’s involved.

Not seen a guide for this but I’m sure there must be one out there.

The mechanical fitting is easy as pie, but to activate it you must tell the ECU that you have one to make it work. Try VCDS or similar, my indi fitted one to my Tiguan and he said it was quite straightforward.

Hi Mate,

I have a VCDS cable now so no problem. Is it really a direct swap! can you give me more detail? as I really want this

Yes direct easy swap. Remove airbag and steering wheel. Remove slip ring without moving it too much. Remove old stalks and refit everything. You will also need a new lower section of trim. Do it all with the battery disconnected. Do the coding and thats it

You don't even need a new steering cowl, once you have removed the original you will see inside it the shape marked of what needs removing, I did mine with nothing more then a drill, file and sand paper.

2008 2.0 ltr TFSi Sport

ECS intake pipe, Pipercross filter, R8 red tops, 15mm (F) & 20mm (R) spacers, -35mm Springs, Eccentric, Poly, upper control arm bushes, Debadged and Dechromed, OEM Audi body kit (lip spoiler, side skirts, diffuser and bumper spoilers, boot lip spoiler.

Have the parts to do:-
Full RS5 Piano black trim, RS5 pedal set and foot rest, ECS oil catch can kit.

Does anyone know any body in the Dorset area that has VCDS/vagcom that would be willing to code my cruise control on my 2008 S5?

I've done the stalk switch, reset the steering angle sensor, I'm struggling to find anyone to do the rest of it.

Pennies waiting for someone. Im Just new to the Audi world and yet to make contacts.

Regards
