RS5 Style Grill

Hi guys,

Anybody know where I can get a decent RS5 replica grill for me Audi s5 (2008 pre facelift)?

I have seen good reviews for Xenonz.co.uk however I spoke to them and they no longer offer grills with the Audi Logo.

I am looking for a grill with black mesh and then a chrome surrounding and chrome audi rings. It just wont look right without the audi rings!

Thanks

How about this?

https://www.a5oc.com/forums/a5-perfo...-snow-%3D.html

Basically you will se reps of Audi parts, but the badge maybe covered as it is copyright.

Mine came from China and they did all the variants of RS grill. All black gloss, chromed mesh, matt black etc etc. Came with the RS5 badge on it, but I replaced it with my Quattro badge as I'm not one for putting RS5 badges on a diesel!!

Here is one on ebay

I didn't fit the plate mounting as my plates are personalised and shorter than standard, plus I think it looks better.

Thanks for all your help guys. Dave I ended up going the exact same grill off Ebay from a UK seller so I will be getting it over the next few days.

@Dave Kwatro - Looks like its the same one you recommended. Do you have any pictures of the grill fitted?

What I like about the grill is that it has the Audi Rings but it also has a cover for the crash bar which a lot of people say needs to be painted (or you can see it through the grill) and the top of the grill also has a thin black cover which covers the bonnet so the top of the bonnet does not show through.

Have any of you guys also found any fog light covers that are also mesh/honeycomb style to match (with the chrome ring covering the fog lights themselves)?

The crash bar cover is matt black and I put this on as it makes it look tidier behind the grill. The crash bar sits closely to the grill anyway, so painting it black is a little pointless. Plus you can see the pipes for the headlight wash etc

Also I preferred to fit the crash bar cover as this stops small knocks on the grill pushing it back, maybe damaging it.

I didn't fit the number plate mount and removed the RS5 badge and fitted my Quattro badge.

If you look closely on the fog surrounds on my pics from the other thread you can just make out that I painted the honeycomb 'lines' with gloss paint to accentuate the honeycomb

I think you can buy them, but not sure where from.

Very nice mate , look forward to putting mine on now! Wow you did a good job of painting those honeycomb lines on!

How easy was the quattro badge to fit? I am going to replace the RS5 badge with an S5 badge. Dont want to use my existing S5 badge as I want to sell the old grill as it is so will probably order a new badge off Ebay. Just wondering it it slots straight in or if I will need to glue it on somehow...

I used a small artist paint brush for the honey comb lines.

The chrome fog light surround pops out so makes it easier to paint.

I tried to attach the Quattro badge with a clamp type grip, but ending up using super glue!

Still there even after numerous washes.
