Changing mmi screens / central

Hi there wonder if anyone can help, have upgraded the audi today with a nice 12 plate new shape from my old 2008 one. However the Mmi screen is a bit scratched (quite deep) and the center console part around all the buttons is scratched too. I have not sold my other audi yet and just wondered would. I be able to use the panel from there and swap the screens over? Or if it has things like 3g GPS can you not? Just wanted to. Swap the screen how easy is this

Thank you.

The old screen should work if it's the same size and part number- so you would need to take them both off to check the backs which is easy (don't disconnect the hazard connector when removing the surrounding trim or you will get an error code) also, there are standard width & widescreen versions too.
If the new MMI is 3G+ (as fitted on some FL cars) the old keypad will be different- if that's what you want to swap then that won't work, otherwise if it's the surrounding trim this should be the same on both.
Alternatively, you can remove the scratches from the anti-glare screen as explained in this thread:

Taking the screen out is probably the easiest thing you can do on the A5. I can take the trim off and screen out in 3 minutes!
Whats the current part number on the screen installed.
