clutch

Maybe seized master cylinder? Or indeed slave cylinder or throw out bearing? Can you tell if the clutch re-engages when you pull the pedal up?

Does the clutch still operate?
Is there a way that that the hydraulics could have failed internal to the actual clutch case, giving no external symptoms other than the floppy pedal?

Airlock in the system then, or a failure into the clutch housing giving no external indication of a leak. Those are the 2 that spring to mind from my basic understanding of hydraulics
