Oil change DIY SOS

Right.........I'm just about to attempt the first oil change on my 2013 2.0 tdi. Have got a filter, got the oil to the right spec, got the new sump plug... so far so good.
I've also read the (numerous) strings about dip sticks or the lack of... and (unless someone can correct me) the 03l-115-611-e OEM part is too long for my car. So...
I know it holds 5 litres, is it still possible to change the oil and filter, refill to 4.5 litres say, run it and then check the MMI gauge... has anyone done it that way ?.. is it safe ?

The filter normally holds about 1/2 a litre of oil so you need to take that into account.

Fill with 4 litres, check the MMI, start it up and switch off to fill the filter. Then leave it to sit for an hour and recheck the level via the MMI. Top up as necessary.

Can't help with that I'm afraid. Fitted one to my 3.0 TDi that I used to own but that engine originally had one factory fitted so was easy to source

Go into an Audi dealer and ask for the parts desk. They will tell you it doesn't exist, but insist that they check ETKA for it, and they'll find the right one.

Beep beep.

Andy I was told by I was told that it would not fit my car (I sent them my VIN number). So I bought it anyway at my "risk" and guess what???? Fits perfectly. Why I really do not know but......

Silver 2008 A5 coupe.
3.2 V6 FSI 2WD automatic S line.
19" Y spokes with Pirelli P-Zeros.
162,000km. Leather interior. Love it !!
Recently had the wheels refurbished, bodywork polished, badges removed and fitted the pedal box booster. Full set of new Brembo discs and pads just fitted and calipers repainted in silver. New carbon mirror covers.

ECSTuning is great for parts look up. I ended up paying $50 bucks for my dipstick but it was worth it too me. Now I get a part number from ECS and google the part to find best deal.
