Default Wipers Arms: Are They All The Same?

In my quest to find new wiper blades, I want to know if we
have the same wiper arms globally. I'm hoping I can source
some aftermarket ones over the pond since Rain-X and Armour All don't seem to work here.

Here are some pics. Please chime in, are yours the same?
Have you purchased aftermarket one?

I haven't got my coupe yet, so can't help... however, I replace my crap wipers on my TT with these and they were a massive improvement!

Straight answer: NO they are different across the world. for starters lhd and rhd cars are different. There was some changes done after 09/07 and then theres a part no change with a chassis change. Finally some are 510mm and some 600mm.

Thanks...I figured there must be some differences and I probably fall into the pre 09/07 category. If anyone can post a pic of their wiper arms I would appreciate it. Depending on the cost, I might swap to get better blades. I was thinking about LHD vs RHD and thought that since the windshield is symmetrical, the part would be the same.

BUMP.....

Guys - I'm still looking for some help on this. Can anyone take a pic or confirm their wiper blade configuration is the same/different. I need new wiper blades and so far my only solution is the dealer (and the OEM blades seem to be just as crappy when they are new...)

Thanks.

Maxpowers - Techmax Auto Repair in Mississauga (http://www.techmax.ca/) carries the Bosch Aerotwin, which has a retrofit program that supposedly will work for us (http://rb-aa.bosch.com/boaa-ph/Produ...&publication=1)

I am going to confirm that (i) they are not just the same as the OEM; and (ii) they fit my 2008 CDN S5. I'll let you know.

I've been posting everywhere looking for a solution - fingers crossed.

It also says it's the OE blade, which doesn't give me much comfort!

Please please keep us in the loop. It seems OEM may vary across jurisdictions so it might be different. Curious as to what the retro-fit kit looks like.......if it is the OEM wiper, why would a kit be neccesary?

Thanks for looking. The strange thing is....the blade fits the US 2009 S5, not the US 2008 model, and neither the 2008 or 2009 Canadian S5. WTF is Audi up to??
