Default Which of these is the best colour?

So here's a fun vote! Assuming you were going to put a little wrap on your car for a short period for a bit of fun, what colour would you go with? It's meant to be loud and crazy!

Java Green:

Merlin Purple:

Imola Yellow:

Pink:

Solar Orange:

Nothing wrong with that at all!

I would really really really a pink one, but I think just because of what other people would think I couldn't actually have a pink car! After that I really like green, yellow and orange equally. Purple is very smart, but it is smart, as opposed to a colour for a joke.

I'm surprised your choice didnt make it into the poll - though not a crazy colour (usa: color) you are allowed to vote for it (and it would probably win) - I voted Pink (on the crazy scale - its out there)

It's too "boring", well not at all boring, but it isn't on the wild side!

By the way for anybody wondering, the pics aren't the official colours, just my attempts in Photoshop to re-create Audi colours.

Of all the colours above the one you have picked (Sepang Blue) looks the best to me! Brilliant Red on an RS5 Cab perhaps?

Knock up an S5 Cab in British Racing Green. That might look alright!

Not really sure of the exact shade to go for, here's a quick effort though:

Actually, though it is probably wrong to put British Racing Green on a German car, I quite like that!

Top marks for Photoshop skills!

I assume (subject to approval) that if you went for the 2400 quid "Customised Paint" option, you could actually have your car in any one of those colours. Okay, you would never be able to resell the pink one...

Indeed.

To be more precise, as I have done you can pay £1700 and have any "current" Audi paint colour, hence I took the Sepang Blue of the R8. And then of course for £2400 they will do any colour you can dream up so long as you can get the colour code, which they will take the time to work out for you!

Or also, as I plan on doing, you can pay £1500 to put what's known as a wrap on top of it, which a) protects the paintwork underneath, and b) obviously changes the colour! My plan is that my car arrives in May so will remain Sepang Blue until November approximately when I will put a wrap on it, either in a plain colour, or a matt colour, or perhaps with some kind of design to it for a year before taking it back to blue for the remaining time I have the car.

Not the cheap way to do things, but very fun!

Tim

P.S. For anybody who is interested, here is an example of putting a car wrap onto the car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3LPfHk3gKo

I wondered were Sepang Blue came from. Just did a search. Actually I think it suits the S5 Cab better than the R8 to be honest!

Looking at those colours I suppose they would all have to have black hoods to not up stage the paint work!

Yes indeed me too, here are some photos I have taken of an S5 Cab and an R8 V10 in Sepang Blue:

I chose a black hood, I thought the navy hood may look very good with the Sepang Blue but so that it would match up with any colour I wanted on the body.

The blue hood is another one of those odd Audi options. You can only have a blue hood on a S-line or S5 car, or on a standard and SE if you add the 215 quid Acoustic hood option!!! Why? Does blue let a different amount of sound through!!??

I guess it's all down to quantities and manufacturer as well as them intentionally keeping it a little bit more exclusive.

The vote counts are quite interesting!

I doubted between Merlin Purple and Imola Yellow, and of course as a real Dutchman I should have voted for the Orange, but.........it is not that nice

And not there, but imho a great color too is the Porsche Olive Green (see http://www.autogespot.com/nl/viewima...18082009131222, it has same interior color as my Brilliant Black, which I decided best fits my taste, especially with a black roof).

The link shows a chocholate brown S5 Cab, which IMHO just doesn't move me at all . It might have been better with the silver interior though.

Cheers

Read somewhere that Brown was 'the' colour for 2010, not for me I'm afraid, nearly on a par with White... Yuk.

What's qrong with the Classic German Car colours for Audis, Silvers, through various shades to Black... all look so much smarter apart from that Dull Battleship Grey one (Meteor)... then again if you want bright the Sepang Blue and Sprint Blues look good too. BUT not Brown or White thanks.
