US OEM LED tail light solution

We have just completed our agreement as an official advertiser of this great site and are now pleased to offer more info on this site about our product.

BBC Technik is the only company to date that is offering a full US OEM LED tail light solution for 08&09 A5/S5 that works to OEM specs with no warnings, utilizing all OEM parts. We are currently working with retailers of OEM LEDs to repair the sets that they have already sold.

FULL KIT INSTALLED: includes tail lights, OEM wires, a factory control unit (with special BBC Technik Programming), and some other small OEM parts. This kit is $1799 installed if you live in SoCal or can come down.

PARTIAL KIT INSTALLED: If you have LEDs from a retailer, and finally want to get them to work properly, we will finalize the installation for $899 (again, if you are local).

If you are out of the area, we have a new solution for you, but it WILL require your local dealer participation.

FULL KIT: parts only is $1499

PARTIAL KIT: parts only is $699

We will include full support to your local dealer.

We offer 1 year parts warranty, and a lifetime workmanship warranty on everything we personally install. We specialize in OEM integrations for Audi vehicles and we don't sell ANYTHING we cannot install to OEM specs.

Glad to hear solution is set for us that are out of the area. How are you handling payment, shipping parts, dealer selection, etc for the partial kit?

I have the US spec lights, as they arrived last week. Do I need to ship lights to you prior to installation??

Does this include rear fog functionality?? any additoinal parts needed besides switch?

Thanks again, as I know several folks who will move forward once installation is completed.

Ben, I applaud you for coming up with a "full" solution and options as well. Well done.
I'm about 400 miles north of you.

At first, I really didn't care for the LED's until I went to the SF Auto Show last month and saw it in action/person on a S5. They are actually nice. I'm just having a problem with determining if it's $1800's nice - that's a BBK right there and more than enough for a set of F-14 Forgestars .... must... resist... the dark side....

Ben did the work on my car and it turned out awesome...here are some pics below that i have posted on other forums...he does top notch work and is a true professional, the LED lights are totally worth it....cheers

Our system currently does not offer rear fog lights. But we are working on the solution, and you will be able to have it retrofit. It will of course require a new switch, and some extra wiring. When we are done it will be an option with the kits we currently offer. Thanks.

Many, but not all, of the EU cars do not need any other hardware (read control unit) to make it work. Even the lights are cheaper, partly because they are ROW (rest of the world). That means there are more markets in the world where these lights list for less than Western Europe. For example, I know a german, who before the Euro, used to shop different countries for the cheapest price on the same part. Imagine how cheap these ROW parts are in a place like China or Russia. You can't buy US LEDs from another country with cheaper parts list price, and a very favorable exchange rate, so AoA has the market cornered. This basically fixes the floor that the aftermarket can sell them for and still remain profitable. Just check out the prices at your local Audi dealer and you will see most aftermarket dealers are offering a considerable discount on US LED tail lights.

Audi s5's installation seems to be very typical of our system. Even though we offered full support to Continental, they really did not need any, as the instructions are very detailed for the installation, and they were Audi trained. Most dealers are willing to perform the installlation with our kit once they find out how easy we have made it. If you are having trouble convincing your local dealer to perform the installlation, we will be happy to send an overview of the installation proceedure to you/them. Please keep the installation pics coming. They look great!

Yes, that's correct for those of us with 2010's. But not for those with 2008 or 2009 models....
