Another forum I'm a member of has a complete section full of "HOW-TO" threads, and it's something which I think would be great on here.
We have so many duplicate threads with members (mostly new) asking how to do things, this and that. And most of the time the search function brings up so many posts and threads based on one search word, tag or phrase. Giving people a lot of information to sift through in order to arrive at what they're looking for. We have discussion forums based on our models. We've got mod forums, but I reckon a clear -to the point - forum with "HOW-TO" threads would be great. The forum would be strictly for "HOW-TO" threads only, and not for discussions about the content. Anyone else agree?

Excellent idea, although there may be some overlap with the 'Did you know?' thread? Perhaps some of that content could be imported.....
And dare I suggest - 'How to use the 'search' function?

![]() I would vote for a "detailing" thread too. Often contains repetitive info but at a separate thread will keep diamondbrite in it's own area and encourage proper detailers (always useful) to respond.

A lot of stuff to do with VAG-Com should be added, but not all in one thread or it will be far too confusing for new people.
And as pointed out, often you can search for something, but you get so many results that just confuse you to pieces that it's easier to directly answer your question. I don't get why people mind the same question being asked again, I'm delighted to answer anything I can to anybody who asks. But I do agree that a dedicated section with HOW-TOs would be helpful. Tim
