Default question on Sirius

How much are you paying for sirius? I've called and quoted for $99.9 / year

That's interesting.

My wife's A4 new car introductory subscription just ran out, and they sent 3 mailings at home quoting $146/year.
She balked at that price, but $99/year is much better.

How did you get that price?

You mean it's not free? I've had it (Don't tell anyone) for just over a year now. I keep wondering if I will get something in the mail.

They used to gave me quoted $ 155/year on last Feb.but I didn't subscribe it,I feel useless. but a $99.9/year is a good deal or maybe for the first years and then you have to paid regular price in next year. You should check it out.

nm, the sirius tech support helped me got it working, very helpful. If you going to subscribe just tell them you called already and the previous person told you there's a promotion of 99.90 for the first year.

I'm having problems with mine. My car is 3 weeks old, Sirius worked the day after I got it, for about a week. Now it doesn't work. I received my info in the mail, can login to the website etc, but the car isn't getting a connection. I can browse the channel lists, just no audio. In the website I told it to resend the activation signal, still nothing. Think I'm going to have to pay the dealer a visit.

The dealer usually has a temporary dealer subscription on the car so that it works while the car is on the lot. They are supposed to activate your trial subscription on delivery, but it sounds like they just left the dealer subscription, which has subsequently expired.

Contact your dealer and have them activate your trial subscription.

Called the dealer, he called Sirius, still no luck. Looks like I've got to take it in, isn't getting any signal, can't even get the promotional free stuff on it.

If sirius and xm are in bed together now and I'm currently an XM subscriber how would this work?

Just got my A5 2.0T yesterday, and have been trolling the forum for a few days. Traded in a 2004 CLK500 and can't say I miss the V8 yet

Anyhoo... Seems Sirius will offer $77/year if you tell them you liked the trial, but think it's too expensive.

See here: http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/929342

I'm planning on doing this myself in 3 months. Of course, your mileage may vary

I have done this for my past 3 cars (I found out about it on AcuraZine)....it works like a charm as long as you follow the "script" to the letter...

Here's the link to the Sirius renewal for $77/yr on AcuraZine:

fm? what's that....

Haven't listened to music-free fm radio in years....actually I lied - had a loaner while my car was in the shop and had to listen to fm on my drive to work....30 minutes and no music - just commercials and talk...blech...

Re: the quality - there was a dicussion (on this forum I think) about the compression of various media formats (way over my head) that attempted to explain why the formats sound different...if I can find it, I'll add the link.

Sorry for the threadjack but does the 77 dollar thing include the traffic updates the 3g navigation uses?

Just an update on this, car went to the dealer today. The Sirius control module had to be replaced. Not sure why, the original one only worked for 3 days. But all working again now.

u080570, I don't mind purchasing one, just don't know how to use it. By chance do you have any knowledge on how to use it? I don't mind sharing.
