Oil temperature

Does A5 or S5 have oil temperature sensor to see temp. in MMI menu?

Only for 2010 cars. Not available for previous model years.

Are you sure? I thought there hav been guys with 2009's who have activated it. In fact, I did the mod for one of the guys on the forum when he came to my house.... and he had an 09

I try to enable it too, but it doesn't show me oil level, so it probably won't show oil temp too.

Does anyone have picture to see where is oil temo located? On the same screen as lap timer or...?

yes - same screen as the lap timer (in the DIS) at the top.

It should be where the bulb out warning is at the top. I'm not at home (on business travel) so can't take a picture, but let me see if I can find one on the forums.

Another VAG COM code that does NOT work for TDI's?

I was able to enable the lap timer, but in my S5 I did see the oil temp, however NOT in my TDI? Is this on purpose? No need for oil temp in a TDI?

HAWKiS5, FYI I've got both the oil temp and voice command (your other post) enabled on my Cab, so don't believe its TDI related, it must be some other factor that is preventing you from enabling them.

Thanks, good to know, so I am doing something wrong. Any thoughts? I have the lap timer, but I don't see the oil temp...........and it worked on my S5.....???

Oil temp is available only on 2010 and newer cars.

Thx for you reply. My previous S5 was from production Jan 2010 and showed the oil temp. This new car is from April 2010 and does not show it....??? Maybe they sold me an "old" (already on stock) car??? How can I find out the real(!) production week of a car? TIA!
