Default Blackberry 8900 Curve

Hi Everyone
I'm getting a Blackberry Curve 8900 today and was looking for a cradle for the car. I have searched on the Audi website and on here but there is no sign. Thought I would ask the question before resorting to the stealer.
Cheers.

Hi AB

I'm pretty certain that there aren't any cradles for the 8900 (great phone by the way) so you will be using the Bluetooth connection. You will have discovered by now that you have perfect integration to MMI too.

I have an 8900. The plug is on the side rather than the bottom, so I can't think that there's anyway to plug it into anything unfortunately, but as Cosmicblue said, the Blackberry works brilliantly over bluetooth with the car system.

I have spoken to Basingstoke Audi today (really nice parts bloke). They confirmed that there is not yet a cradle for the 8900 but that new ones are being developed all the time. I have bluetoothed it and I have a complaint- it has reversed the names from the contacts so that where for instance I have Karen & Graham, it is now listed as "& Graham, Karen"! Anyone know the solution to this one??

I think the most simple solution, albeit rather tedious, would be to update all contacts in your phonebook.

I braved this a few years ago and now all of my phone's contacts are under Firstname Lastname, so everything always displays right.

Hi AB, your company is is using MS Exchange and you have Outlook as your mail client on your PC I guess? Have a look at your Outlook Contacts - and you will see that it is actually defined there - by default it is saved as last name, first name though you can override it.
