Post Audi Production Schedule - 4th March 2010

Ok, I've managed to get hold of the Audi Production schedule for all models from 4th March 2010. (see attached)

It gives a good indication on cars and why they may be delayed due to part restrictions etc. Its obviously an internal guide and should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Its the least I could do after the great help I've had from this forum on my newly ordered A5 Cab.

Remember, this information isnt concrete and clearly states it is subject to change... but for all of us waiting for our new car to arrive, its just a little bit more info...

Cheers

Andy

I can now see how your dealer has offered you late May. I am very curious as to how it goes, the same order sheet when I placed my order in December was saying late-April for A/S5 Cabriolets. I guess that means they haven't sold as many in the build up to summer as anticipated, although they still have another month or so to order cars for delivery in time for the shiny months.

This was of interest to me:

Once a vehicle has been confirmed or locked for the addition of Audi exclusive equipment it
is not possible to amend the order.
It is also nice to see confirmation of something a few have wondered about which is 20" wheels and Drive Select in combination with each other, which based on the evidence of that document we can now confirm is not allowed on the Coupe, but is allowed on the Cabriolet and Sportback.

I'm a bit confused about what the mid-March cut-off is about, and also based on that document if I should be expecting a further delay on my car.

Tim, about the 20" wheels. I wanted them but wasnt allowed them on the Cabriolet (and the doc seems to imply that on the S-Line Edition) "20" 7-twin spoke has been withdrawn from ordering on all front wheel drive models due to driving comfort, Audi AG are working on a solution"

.. hence why I ended up with the 19" 5 Segment Spoke ones.. but now I probably prefer them anyway!

About the S5 Cab - I note it also says "Priority Stock = No" for th S5 Cab but "Priority Stock = Yes" for the A5 Cab models. I wonder if that is due to lack of demand for the S5 Cab perhaps?

Least it sheds 'some' light I suppose... just thought it might help ease peoples curiosity on delivery of their new cars...

Interesting document Andy, of course UK only, but still.

This is indeed the thing I noticed in the ordering system here in Holland, so I am happy that your combination seems to be possible! To be sure, however, I would check it (because here this limitation of 20" and Drive Select/Suspension, exists for BOTH the Coupe and the Cabriolet!!!).

Another interesting thing: "S5 Cabriolet seats are not available with Head level heating system and as such the head level heating option has been removed from ordering. ". If they mean "Recaro S-seats can not come with head level heating" I understand, but if they mean "NO S5 Cabriolet seats can be ordered with head level heating", then I have a collector's item!

The car Tim ordered is an S5 Cab, so four-wheel drive, so the 20" inch should not be a problem imho, but the question is how the driving comfort is, especially when the adaptive suspension is not possible in this setup....(see previous post).

The 19" inch look great too, however

I have just sent an e-mail to my salesman asking for confirmation.

I knew this when I placed my order, but it seems you can still do this in the USA for certain and presumably elsewhere also, but I would rather the S Sports Seats so it didn't bother me.

I thought there was only 1 type of seat for th S5 Cab, at least in the UK market and that couldnt have HLH?

Unfortunately not yet, but based on previous experience that means he is looking into it and is being held up by somebody else. My guy; Jamie and West London Audi is normally fantastic with replying and the only previous time he didn't reply same day he did forward me his message history with another person internally looking into my query. I'll try to let you know when I hear.

There is indeed only the one type in the UK. Outside of the UK you can specify the seats from the A5 with the HLH, but it's not possible on the S5 sport seats.

Audi has accepted your order with the 20” wheels and drive select so I do not know what the reason could be on the coupe.
Seems ok.

Seems ok.. I hope so mate...

Its one of those things.. dealer may not of been informed, but like other options on that schedule, Audi say "we take one thing off the order and wont proactively inform you". Then when you get the car and its missing...

I dont want to doubt the system mate.. heck I'm waiting for mine too, I just hope its right for your sake

If my car turns up on 19" wheels I won't be too saddened by it, I'd save £970 (- discount) and probably the ride would be better, everybody tells me I'm a fool for ordering 20s as it is! However if it did I would insist on it being the twin-spokes, absolutely not the tri-spokes (personal preference).

Indeed.. as long as you save the money its not so serious... and yes to the twin over the tri spokes!

Think you and I are going to be hoping it turns out right for both our cars at the same time at this rate!

You can always order the 19" wheels by the original order, if you like it, all ok, if not, you can but very decent 20" (orignal Audi) at the dealer for GPD 970 I think, and then you have 20" AND drive select for sure! (and can use the 19" for winter tyres?).

Interesting thoughts, although the 20" wheels and tyres are more like £3,000 unfortunately if you buy them outright at the dealer (it's only £970 as the upgrade). Although I will be looking for some 19" winter wheels at some point before next winter.

Hi everyone.
I have been trying to get my approximate delivery date for my new S5 ordered 1 week ago.
I was just told this morning that i may not be able to receive a 2010 model.
I am in Canada.
Anyone else hearing anything similar?

After week 22 I think, the produced models are called 'MY 2011'
Probably thats way you can not have 2010 model. Mine, I orderded March 2008 and the delivery was july 2008.In AMI the number indicates that it is MY 2009.

Sometimes the dealer's have strategy to maintain the monopoly of his business in the market and get the great price of the product from the customer. So basically they have the stock and still they show us the waiting. In this way they can got the best monopoly.
