Guys, I've just had an email form Tony telling me he's made plenty of sales through his dealers but not had one person take up this sale price via A5OC. He's asked me to inform you that the price will only be valid until the Feb 28th and thereafter anyone coming to him will not get this offer so anyone seriously considering should contact PES asap. Thanks Spinner; to be honest, the timing of PES's push on this particular forum is a little naive - it's to be expected that the majority of owners, facing a measure of uncertainty around what is essentially a new performance solution, not to mention notable fiscal outlay, would hold back until such a point where they'd seen your car completed, early teething troubles -ut, and a couple of thousand trouble-free miles under the wheels. You're essentially well-placed to be at the vanguard of their UK marketing strategy - the time to commence a limited time offer would be, say, during the month of Feb, or a 2 month window, Feb-March. The existing group buy was essentially irrelevant until we'd reached this point. So, as I say, rather a misguided standpoint from the supplier, from a potential customer's perspective at least. ;-) ************************************** S5, Meteor/Magma/Carbon in action..... Joe, I agree the GB was too early, hence on behalf of the group I got Tony to agree the new sales offer for February. As for a couple of 1000 miles free trouble free, there are plenty of other PES S5 customers, one I personally know of that has over 34k miles since his conversion trouble free. I didn't realise everyone was looking at my car for this info when it's already available? Anyone seriously interested and wants to query this should just contact PES for further info and the potential of being put in contact with other clients, which is exactly what I did. If you're referring to the recent hype of realibility concerns stated on my thread then both PES and MRC have categorically stated to me these are blown out of all proportion. Sure there is always a risk with all modding but no where near the extent some have been suggesting. We should be going with others experience and the experts, not the armchair engineers that also got it wrong re the M90. Talking of the M90, when I went ahead the only real query I had was how well it could perform. Many stated it couldn't produce 480hp let alone the 520+hp we ended up with. They were clearly wrong, I'm not holding it against them but in the end all the negativity did was slowed down the progression and therefore confirmation of facts. Put this alongside the confirmed realibility (put the effort in to researching it yourself chaps, don't rely on me) and there is clearly a complete package of info to go ahead. So finalising....
P.S. I've no doubt to the outsider this looks like a sales pitch so best I now make it clear I'm not here to sell for PES. I've got my kit, I'm happy, enjoying the exclusivity just as much as I did when I first got the S5 back in 2007 and there were only a handful of them on the road. I just find it crazy the amount of interest the supercharger group buy got that so far there's not been a single sale via this special offer. Joe, if you recall we discussed the realities of what level of uptake there would be at such a group buy, however considering the numbers and interest level it generated I think it's fair any supplier would have expected a least a few sales by now.
