Tony,

I am sure the S5 will be available in the UK. I will stick my foot in my mouth if I am wrong. They list in on the UK website:

Found this site after a google search (Sound familar). I really like the feel of it. It is very similar to iwsti.com when the STi was coming to the US. Everyone was trying to figure out what was actually coming. The forum as a group knew way more than the dealers.

I have been shopping for a new car for easily a year now. Currently driving a 2004 USDM STi. Almost bought an Volvo S60R now really glad I didn't. The only other car on the list is the Nissan GT-R. However I really like the new A5/S5/RS5 shape. I figure the S5 will be low 60k US$ fully optioned any ideas where the RS5 will be? I may be able to squeze it into the budget by next spring or just go order the S5 now.

The RS5 should be in the 60's, I doubt they will go any higher because its supposed to rival the new m3. In order to achieve that they must keep it in that range, and if you are more for the performance end of it save your cash and just wait for the RS5.

I doubt the RS5 will be in the 60's. The RS4 starts at 66 and options to 70 easily. I look for the RS5 to be mid 70's and option to low 80's.

I would agree, low 70's for the RS5.

Greetings

Like most others I've just found this forum.

I currently drive an early BMW 645ci, an A3 2.0T Sportback and the wife drives a TT 3.2 Coupe (late vintage old model shape) ... yes, we are Audi fans!

Am currently awaiting delivery of an S5 (to replace the Beemer) in Ice Silver with black leather, pretty much fully loaded! Looked at Mercedes and BMW etc but the S5 really caught my eye in pictures ... outright performance on British roads is not what it used to be so now I prefer build quality, features, comfort etc and Audi wins hands down in this respect.

Hi all,

Ordered 3.0 TDI May 1st (UK) - production week 32, my doorstep August 20th. Never even seen the car but I did drive an audi for the first time just before placing the order...its my first new car. I think I have lost the plot but got good feeling about this car already..

Question is...how does one wait so long....!

It is not easy. I have ordered and waited for two brand new models. The last was the USDM STi I drive now. The wait was 8 months for that car. You will become very familiar with all the websites that have new tidbits of information on your car.

When you get the phone call your car is in you will be happier than a 3 year old in a candy store.

Hi All...

I found out today I am build week 29 (for a 3.0 TDI in black). Like some of the others here I have not even seen the car in the flesh so fingers crossed. Had planned to wait for the new plate 1/9/2007 but since I am putting a private plate I wonder if its worth waiting? I suppose from a value point of view I really should wait until 1/9/2007 before ownership? ...can not wait none the less !!! Mark

New to group

I was very happy to find this group as I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of the A5. I'm a loyal Audi owner who is on his 3rd Audi. I've owned a 2000 A4 2.8, 2002 TT and am currently enjoying my 2001 A6 2.7T which is a great car. With 101K miles it drives like almost new. I've been holding out for Audi to reintroduce a coupe so can't wait till it goes on sale here.

Hi,

New Member - like most came through Google.

Had my SMG M3 Convertable stolen and after 9 years of BMW M cars i decided that i'd try and Audi. Went to buy an RS4 and ended up ordering an S5. Phantom Black with Magma Red sports seats and all the extra's. So my First Audi. Build date was July 2nd (today) and dealer in London is expecting it to arrive mid July. Really looking forward to it.
I have also put down a deposit on an RS5 when ever that decides to show its head.

I also own a F1 Ferrari 360 Modena which i have had for some years and love. Nearly got tempted out of it for an R8, but couldn't do it in the end. Will probably keep her for good now. Like a family member now.

Thanks Guys

Chris

Welcome to the site. Can you restate your question because it doesn't make any sense. If you are thinking of buying a car in Germany and then importing it into the U.S. you are wasting your money, you should just buy the car in the U.S.

You local dealer will have more information. However I read somewhere that the european delivery option was not available on the a5/s5 for small time period. Probably in spring/ summer 2008 it will be available.
