Swapped out the non-extendable OE sunvisors for extendable European RS5 sunvisors which are not an option for US RS5's.

Removal and installation is easy to do.

Only tools required may be a plastic trim tool or even a screw driver that is used to gently pry the locking clip and the unit out of the roof mount. It is surrounded by fabric so you have to be careful not to tear it.

Here is the mounting assembly. Once the clip to the left below is pushed in and up it locks the metal part in the roof.

The the back part of the mount on the right below inserts under the back edge of the roof mounting hole.

Removal steps:
1.Pull down locking clip and remove it. May need gentle prying with a screwdriver.

2. Insert something under the edge of right part of the mount. Pry it down until the top of the metal part has cleared the front edge of the mounting hole.
3. Firmly grasp the mount and push forward and down at the same time to release the back part of the mount from the roof. Wires are for the vanity light switch on the mirror sliding door.
4. Detach wire

Reverse process for installation.

Installed extendable visors:

Thanks to Alexander at Europrice for finding the extendable visors.

Part numbers are (the 7C0 is the color code for black or soul):
Left visor of LH drive car 8U0857551H 7C0
Right visor of LH drive car 8U0857552J 7C0*

*Note that the right visor came with Russian warning labels, so the part number for the no label version may be different. Europarts is exchanging the Russion version for the no label version.

Fit, finnish and color are the same as the OE non-extendable visors.

Good mod, & nice guide.

If we got any sun in Britain I'd consider these but the prevailing weather systems coming in from the Atlantic seem to think that rain is the way forward.
