spam attack

Folks

We seem to be experiencing a spike in spam - I'm deleting it as fast as I can and at the time of posting about 20 pages of new posts have been removed!

I've reported it to the site owners in the hope they can do something on the back end to cut off the route of registration these time wasters are using to create accounts.....

Cheers Adrian.

Crazy to think of the initiative and effort they went to, to achieve something so completely irrelevant and pointless...

Oh and I did see the word 'Beer' crop up in some of the posts....hate to point fingers but....Racks...?? Although I would imagine his spamming would be much easier on the eye....

I've exited out of here and returned an hour later and they're gone and then later they've returned. Kind of "Squirley" imho.

Thats what I thought.

Is it the time limits in place that stops multiple posts that is preventing it? I take it thats why multiple usernames are being used, to try and circumvent that?

Doctor mo....no, it isn't an unwanted side effect of me not drinking.....but I have found the culprit...

I shall chastise her later......must have my tea first to keep my strength up!

Sober since 1st January 2016......unfortunately it is now clear to me how fucked up our world is. It's enough to turn a man to drink.....

Yes pretty much they try to overwork the servers causing it to crash. But why would anyone do this to the A5OC forum? We're a lovely bunch of people. Most probably a newbie practising on a smaller scale then gearing up for something bigger
