what can you do with the green menu?

Hey guys, wanted to know if any of you found something useful (besides upgrading the MMI) that can be done with the green menu. For example I'm looking for how to disable the seat belt alarm (drives me nuts) without using a VAG COM
Maybe some cool feature that's disabled idk

Read through the complete list - it states what can be accomplished through the Green Menu:

I found it far quicker and more useful buying an OBD tool and a 10 or 30 subscription to Carista tbh, much more user friendly and puts all the common mods (including some you can only do via vag com) at your finger tips (ie DRL brightness etc), seatbelt warnings etc). Not to mention its useful without these features just for scanning and clearing fault codes.

Otherwise as suggested take a look through the guide and see if theres anything you'd find useful in the vagcom mod list

Think you need OBD connect to code out the warning chimes. I turned all of mine off. OBDeleven is a good cheap option if you don't want to spend the money on Ross-Tech. Reading faults its a bonus and can save a lot of dealership trips.

that's why I was asking it would be good having a quick tutorial of what can be done through the menu. it's mixed with OBD.
I got mine from eobdtool
VAG COM 17.1.3 VCDS 17.1.2 German/French/English HEX+CAN-USB Interface For VW Audi Seat Skoda

ross-tech is WAY too expensive, not worthed imo

From my limited experience its actually quite simple, the green menu is associated only with the MMI unit. Therefore from my experience, the only changes you can really make of any significance will relate to the MMI aspect of the car.

If you want to make changes to the vehicle, you will need an OBD tool.

So in your example, seatbelt warnings, are they an MMI feature? No, so this would be an OBD change.

On the flip side, enabling an auxiliary input, is this an MMI feature? Yes, so would be enabled via the green menu.

There might be maybe one exception to this rule but its unlikely, remember the green menu is merely the OS beneath the application of the car's entertainment features
